“SHREE MATUNGA GUJARATI SEVA MANDAL” is a registered Public Charitable Trust, Registered with the office of the Charity Commissioner-Mumbai, holding Income Tax Exemption Certificate under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961.

Established in the year 1935, Matunga's philanthropic planted a seed in the name of “Shree Matunga Gujarati Seva Mandal”. The main purpose of which was to unite & Organize the common people and Gujarati speaking people living around Matunga to help each other, to keep the flames of humanity burning through social services, at the same time to preserve and nurture Gujarati art culture, literature, and to increase the pride of Gujarati dignity and identity, with the aim of service without discrimination of caste, creed, religion & language through medical, educational, cultural activities.
